Location is great, it's right by the water. We actually were on our bicycles to get there and no problem locating the hotel. There's plenty of parking spaces in front of the hotel, if you come by car. Facilities are great. We stayed in shared dorm using shared bathroom which is no issue for us at all. Bunk bed is quite comfy and quiet at night. Bathroom is squeaky clean, very very clean! We love everything here and will definitely plan a trip to stay here again!

What a cute place and a great experience. We had one of our best meals in Japan here. The quality of the food, the presentation, and the effort they put into the multi course dinner was amazing. The breakfast was great as well and the servers were just lovely people. It’s an expensive stay but totally worth it. Everyone enjoyed sleeping on the mats. The rooms are large. Make sure to see the Daishoin temple nearby. Stunning!
Everything, the staff were so friendly and helpful, the location is amazing, a 3 minute walk from the ferry, right on the Main Street. Our hotel room had an incredible view where you could see the floating Torii from the room, and the whole bay. The dinner was supper delicious and the Japanese breakfast too. The outdoor baths (onsen) on the roof was incredible, as you can see the whole bat and the torii. The only shame is we didn’t stay longer.
Sara was our guide on the trip and she was absolute wonderful in explaining and answering all our questions. She was very entertaining and patient, my parents loved chatting with her when we checked in and during our meals. The baths were really relaxing, breakfast and dinner were really pretty and delicious. The location was very convenient and the hotel was lovely and accommodating for picking us up from the port as well as holding our bags after we checked out.
Nice and efficient staff. Perfect location. The room sea view is amazing.Breakfast and dinner delicious
Good dinner and breakfast
urashima INN - GANGI is a lovely hotel in the gorgeous town of Onomichi. I stayed at the hotel in order to rent a bike and cycle the Shimanami Kaido. It is ideally based for the town which is 5 minute or so walk away for the ferries to Mukaishima Island and for the bike rental vendors too. The room sizes are a little small and probably a bit of a tight squeeze for two people but, as I was staying on my own it was more than adequate for me. The staff were also very helpful and welcoming. I will certainly return again next year.
The Japanese style room was very beautiful and clean. As in Miyajima everything closes very early, the guest house provides the dinner, which was delicious.
Good value for money, we stayed in the standalone guest house, which was like many of the traditional houses we’d seen in our travels, which was a good experience. Included dinner and breakfast was great and lovely communal lounge/dining area.
The guest house is located in an old Japanese-styled building, which is very and very beautiful, but, as expected in a guest house, limits it from some of the amenities. Even though there is no en-suite bathroom, there are two toilet locations, a communal shower, and a common kitchen with many things in it, including breakfast and dinner as a part of your stay price. The place also has an inner garden with occasional deer. The receptionists are very friendly and helpful, available all day.
We had a wonderful stay. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We opted for the Japanese meals and cannot recommend it enough, the food was fabulous, we really enjoyed both dinner and breakfast. The Guest House is located close to the ferry terminal which made coming and going easy. Our host was absolutely wonderful.
