Boasting a garden, restaurant, bar and free WiFi, The Railway Inn Westerfield is situated in Ipswich, 46 km from The Apex and 48 km from Hedingham Castle. 10/10 for the railway inn . Everything was perfect for me . Excellent value , friendly staff , comfy bed and clean room/bathroom . I came down from Huddersfield for the last game of the season , so the location between the local station (never heard any train noise from the room) and the town centre was perfect . The complimentary cereals etc were quite adequate , but I opted for a cooked breakfast downstairs in the pub , which was spot on . I'll definitely stop there again for the football , but I fear it could be a few years off 😁

Large and comfortable room, super king-size bed, amazing food in the restaurant and the friendliest, most welcoming staff you could hope for. Dog friendly too. We'll definitely be back for more.

Situated in Hawkedon, 12 km from Ickworth House, The Queen's Head features accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a bar. This was our 2nd stay at The Queens Head and we will definitely be staying there again. Scott and Juliette are a lovely welcoming couple and nothing is too much trouble for them. The food is excellent and the apartment upstairs that we stayed in was very comfortable and clean and provided with everything that we needed. The area is very much a farming community with friendly and social folk attended the bar each evening. The food is also very good here.

The Bull is a historic coaching inn located in the center of charming Woodbridge. The property overlooks Market Hill with the impressive Elizabethan Shire Hall and the beautiful St Mary’s Church. Sarah the owner was amazing and super helpful

Built in 1450 the Bull Hotel is a timber house in the charming East Anglian village of Long Melford. The former Coaching Inn offers en suite rooms and fine food. The property is 500 years old. Very charming, lovely building. The bedroom and bed were very comfortable. The front desk staff was very helpful and pleasant. I had a very nice short stay to attend a Christmas show nearby.

The White Horse in Beyton has 3-star accommodation with a shared lounge and a bar. Very quiet location but close to major roads to get you where you need to go, great pub atmosphere where everybody is friendly, great breakfast and evening meals, outstanding room and ensuite, very good value for money and of course you have the historically Beyton geese outside on the green
