Stayed here after doing the 4 waterfalls walk. After a good 5 hours of walking we arrived at the Ancient Briton we were greeted by friendly helpful staff and shown to our room. Recently refurbished pub the room was very spacious and very clean and the beds very comfortable. We later went on to have a meal the food was very good all locally sourced meat etc and the deserts hand made. In the morning breakfast was prepared by emma the landlady and again was beyond expectation. Overall I was very impressed and would highly recommend the Ancient Briton

The property was warm and welcoming, the food was outstanding and the staff were friendly. A proper country pub which is what we like. They even bought my dogs out a bowl of cooked sausages, what else could you ask for!

Very nice owners, rooms above the pub that closes around 9pm (thus convenient and quite at night), good showers, full breakfast, and very good dinner choices. I suggest to make a dinner reservation as there are not many choices in town and this one is quite popular.

They were nice and very helpful. This is a cosy and welcoming pub in a great location. The rooms are clean and well appointed, and the breakfast was great. I came in from a cold hike up the mountains and was treated to a full English breakfast, and pot of hot coffee in front of a wood stove. Would definitely recommend.
