Very nice accommodation with cozy rooms and comfortable beds. Rich and varied breakfast, great pub for your dinners and drinks. Convenient parking just behind the building.

Good atmosphere, with lovely food. Had an event to attend in Catterick so wasn't too far to travel. Situated in a peaceful village.

We visit the area a lot to see my partner's mom, so it's great to have an option that's relatively close to her. The facilities are really nice--everything feels fresh but also very cozy, especially the bar and restaurtant area. It's a place I'd happily spend a few hours eating/drinking (it's got the vibe of a typical old English pub--but probably a lot cleaner!). The food was great (we had breakfast and dinner there). Staff were super friendly and helpful and everyone liked our dog. :) A proper dog-friendly hotel, bar and restaurant with treats and a dog menu at the bar. The room was comfortable and the shower felt powerful enough to strip paint off a building (in a good way!). It was great that there was a fan because the room got a bit stuffy.

The room is very nearly perfect in size, comfort, amenities, and function. The space was very comfortable and easily large enough for two people and their luggage. The shower/toilette was super functional and very comfortable with special attention paid to the available soaps and bath robes. The coffee/tea included multiple options, crisps, cookies, and shortbreads. Additionally, the pub and available foods were perfect for an historic English pub experience.

The George inn was something out of history and the couple running the inn joined us for wine while we had dinner. Lovely company! Great stop for hiking along the Dale's way.

Set in Starbotton, Fox and hounds starbotton offers a bar. There is a terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. The people were very friendly. The chef made a delicious lentil shepherds pie with greens which was delicious. And the room was exceptional.
