Burley
The open fires in the bar and restaurant offer a dinner setting during winter. With its home-cooked food that uses fresh, local ingredients, guests at The White Buck can have a breakfast in the mornings or a Fuller's beer-battered fish and chips at lunch. Location was idyllic, Dinner and Restaurant was exceptional as was breakfast!
Lyndhurst
Set in Lyndhurst and with The Mayflower Theatre reachable within 16 km, The New Forest Inn offers a restaurant, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a bar. The property is around 16 km from Southampton Guildhall, 18 km from Southampton Cruise Terminal and 32 km from Ageas Bowl. Salisbury Cathedral is 32 km away and Salisbury Train Station is 32 km from the inn. The breakfast options were plentiful and the food was excellent. There were local beers on tap. The menu is a gastro pub menu and the food was outstanding. Just be aware that the rooms are above a pub, so you will hear the “locals” enjoying a pint! It was, however, quiet by 11:00 or earlier. Manager, Rob, was most accommodating as were Hannah, Alicia, Verity and Kyle. We also enjoyed chatting with the housekeeper, Violette. The New Forest Inn was located near trail heads into the New Forest. Downtown Lyndhurst is a one mile walk and has many shops, food establishments and The New Forest Heritage Museum.

The property was in a poor condition with paint missing mould in most areas and grubby. It was so bad after three hours I checked out and booked into a Premier Inn

The hotel room was more than we expected , the bed was super comfy, and the whole experience was more than amazing. It was mine and my partners 9 year anniversary and we had brought our dog along and when we got to the room and saw the lil dogy hamper with bowels , towels, tennis ball, dog boscuit ans shampoo for him it made it that more for us. Breakfast and dinner were exceptional, and we couldn't have wished for anything more !! We were over the moon with the hotel and would 1000% reccomed to anyone staying, especially with dogs.
