Responsive and helpful staff. Very nice, updated facilities. Comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast. Dinner at the restaurant was exceptional for a hotel restaurant.
Brilliant shower and beds are so comfy, Staff very friendly and helpful, great food (breakfast, lunch and dinner), outdoor pool, secure parking (although you have to pay)
Fantastic, small hotel in a lovely location. On the seafront, bike lane and promenade at doorstep. Metro for Bilbao 5 mins walk. Xavi greeted us and was absolutely fantastic for advice, friendliness and overall welcome. Great food locations nearby and breakfast, room (suite) and dinner were all exceptional
The hotel is ideally located in the city center. The staff is excellent. I travelled with 2 dogs and we even received a brand new toy and the room was prepared for the dogs with a pillow and sheets. There is also a nice sushi place where you can have excellent dinner. There is a very nice big park close buy to walk and relax. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful

Lovely small Pension in great old building. Good check in and check out, could leave luggage until room ready and they gave us towels to take to the beautiful beach about 7 minutes walk away.
Pension Balerdi is located exactly at the beginning of the old town center. Everything is at walking distance, including the larger city beach! There is a parking close by with a cost of around 28 € per day. People at the reception are very kind, giving advice on what you could do and were to eat. There is a coffee machine available in the common areas.
For those on the Camino, this is a great stopping point for the stage ending in Markina, where there is not a lot of accommodation. The Camino forks off and leads directly to this Pension, so you don't have to go through Markina and then out to here. There are a couple of tavernas in the village and Markina is about 30 mins walk away, along a lovely riverside pathway, or there is a local bus service a couple times a day. The rooms are clean and comfortable
