Situated in a picturesque Aragonese medieval town, Hospedería Villa Pintano country guest house offers a seasonal outdoor pool, restaurant, and sun terrace with views of the surroundings. Pintano is a very small atmospheric old hill town in the Spanish Pyrenees. It's basically in the middle of nowhere, but we made it a stop on our way back to Madrid from the French border near Jaca. A great choice because the inn is comfortable and the innkeeper (Jose) a really nice guy. He fed us an excellent 3 course meal, with wine, for 15 euros. A modest Spanish breakfast (coffee, toast and a packaged cake) is also included. A bit interesting to drive to the top of the town through the narrow alleys, but any passenger car can make it.

We love the remoteness of the place.. So quiet and peaceful, nice walks, there is a bar in the Hostel and you can book an evening meal.. Our host was absolutely lovely, no English spoken but we managed with Translation on our phones... Typical Spanish village, church very close with a bell that goes off a lot on the hour, so if you can't tolerate that then possibly not for you... Breakfast was minimal and not served until 9am at weekends, so our host who lives in the next village gave us some bread, Jams and butter to take to our room the night before as we had a kettle and milk... And we left early and locked up...

Offering a restaurant serving local cuisine, Hospedería Prepirineo is located in Undués-Pintano. Set by Regal River, the air-conditioned Inn has free Wi-Fi and impressive views. We arrived late and tired after a long day of cycling, but the reception was so kind and nice, that we forgot about that and felt comfortable immediately. We could park our bicycles in the church opposite of the hotel !! The lady didn't speak anything but Spanish, but she very cleverly used Google Translate to communicate with us.
