This is a great hotel, the staff were fantastic and the surrounding area so peaceful. The room was spacious and very clean, it was perfect. We wished we had a little longer to fully enjoy it. Located in Manderscheid, 42 km from Nuerburgring, Herberg Die alte Schleuse provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. The room was very large as well as the bathroom. Furnished nicely and a comfy chair to relax in. The breakfast was excellent with quite a bit of choice, the owner also asked for preferences for the breakfast. The owner is also very friendly and helpful, he was able to answers my question about the 'ruhetag' of the local restaurants so I didn't have to search that much as I arrived on monday which usually is a day that quite a few of them are closed.
