Check in is easy but you might need to call them so bear this in mind. Massive breakfast set with great quality products! Very cute room (we stayed in the red room) with themed decor. Love the trust box system.

Located in Manderscheid, 42 km from Nuerburgring, Herberg Die alte Schleuse provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. The room was very large as well as the bathroom. Furnished nicely and a comfy chair to relax in. The breakfast was excellent with quite a bit of choice, the owner also asked for preferences for the breakfast. The owner is also very friendly and helpful, he was able to answers my question about the 'ruhetag' of the local restaurants so I didn't have to search that much as I arrived on monday which usually is a day that quite a few of them are closed.

Located just over the border with Echternach in Luxembourg, Oberbillig is near to the Little Switzerland region. And yes the landscape is spectacular. Hikes can be made from the doorstep. Upon returning the terrace offers ample possibilities to rest and enjoy a nice dinner. Overall friendly atmosphere
