Calm and quiet place, just 10 minutes walking distance from the Old City, free parking, very clean and friendly. Apartment was spacious and big, Great amenities, nice atmosphere. We added breakfast which was good and enjoyed local beer from their bar. Our Hostess Gabi was so nice and friendly, we didn't want to leave! She helped us with lots of things and was ready to help whenever needed. It was a pleasure to be her guests. Will recommend that place to all coming to Staufen.

This traditional family run country inn exists since 1810. Landgasthaus Sonne offers a large sun terrace and great views of the Stockerbachtal Valley. We liked very much --- the room, the bathroom, the owners, the place. The hotel is a litlle bit far from Freudesntadt, but OK, the location is very interesting. We didn't have breakfast.

Set in Oberried, 13 km from Freiburg Cathedral, Gasthaus Sternen Post offers accommodation with a terrace, free private parking and a restaurant. Large room with sofa and ample storage. Spacious traditional bathroom with large bath and powerful hot water in the shower. Very kind and thoughtful staff who helped us with our limited German. If you can afford it we recommend the restaurant with it's excellent menu. Breakfast was good though and made you feel at home. Nearby cafe bar also worth a visit for a beer and good food.

Located in Ühlingen-Birkendorf, Gasthaus zum Schwanen offers a restaurant. There is a terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. I arrived after a four hour motorcycle ride in horrible heavy rain and the first thing the host did was to show me where to dry my soaking wet riding clothing. Such a generous and kind gesture was really appreciated. The evening meal and a few beers were perfect as was the hosts genuine care and interest in their guests. If all Gasthaus’s could be this good I could not ask for more.
