Located in the centre of Tesserete, the family-run Ristorante Stazione is just 50 metres from Tesserete Train Station. The restaurant serves Swiss and Mediterranean cuisine and features a large terrace. Free Wi-Fi is available. Fantastic place. For sure simpler than a big name hotel but super friendly, clean and comfortable. For me it was the perfect place to stay in a beautiful area. Super happy.
Gandria
Locanda Gandriese is set in Gandria, within 26 km of Mendrisio Station and 27 km of Villa Carlotta. The property is located 4.7 km from Exhibition Center Lugano, 6.6 km from Lugano Station and 14 km from Swiss Miniatur. The inn has a terrace and mountain views, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant or a drink at the bar. We really liked the view of the lake and we loved swimming in it.

The property is literally at the bus stop and water ferry yet we heard no noise from the street. The restaurant is highly rated so we tried it the first night and returned the second as well. They provided stand fans in the room which was greatly appreciated. The view from the room and hotel are wonderful.

This is a family-run local hotel in Comano. It is full of characters with beautiful garden. Hosts and staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a bus stop nearby goes to the train station.
The hotel had a very good view and we had a nice dinner at their restaurant.
Everything was so amazing. Both owners were exceptional, very kind and helpful. They went beyond with advising us and explaining how to get around and what to do. Their pension is a magical place, amazing views, surroundings, beautiful place to stay. Thank you again
Hotel Federale is in a perfect location, close to both the train station and the city center. The staff is warm, friendly, and inviting. Our room for a family of 4 and a dog was exceptional! It was clean and comfortable. Our balcony had a view of the lake, the town, and the cathedral. My family and I enjoyed the hotel restaurants’ breakfast and dinner. It was a pleasure to meet the owner during our breakfasts and the chef during dinners.
brilliant location, one of the few right on the lake front where you can actually walk from your room, via the pool, into the lake. Terrace for dinner and breakfast with amazing view.
We loved this place. Pool was great, breakfast good and dinner amazing. Very friendly host, and our room was newly renovated and comfortable. Air-conditioning an extra plus.
Beautiful grounds, exceptionally friendly staff, great meal at the restaurant for dinner, breakfast was generous and delightful. The location could not have been any better easy walk from the train station and to old town.
I thought everything was excellent, especially the staff was very kind, friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was a very nice assortment of all kinds of things. The rooms were nice & clean. The dinner offered in the lobby bar/restaurant was great. I was concerned after reading some of the negative reviews about breakfast, staff, etc, but I found everything to be really terrific.

Lovely apartment with all facilities , it’s a two bedroom apartment with kitchen. And it’s beside of the main guest house entrance .
Good location in a charming little seaside town. I can imagine it would be great for families or couples with a car to discover the beautiful surroundings. Good breakfast. Friendly innkeepers.
