Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
We literally only slept/showered at the venue, since after our arrival we went straight to dinner at Muisbosskerm, and then left early the next morning. Location near the ocean & Muisbosskerm.
If you ever want to break away from everything and just experience nature at its best. This is the place to be.

The guest house is simply amazing. The rooms and views are stunning, the breakfast ist oh so tasty and Yvette is the without exaggerating the most wonderful and attentive host.

Great beach front location for dramatic seascapes, two minutes south from town and 3 km (2 mi) or so north of fantastic on-the-beach seafood outdoor buffet restaurant Muisbosskerm, a must visit experience if you’re there when they’re serving. They only serve when there are enough reservations to justify lunch/dinner, so call in advance and be flexible about timing.
Staying On the Dunes was wonderful. Rustic but well designed rooms. The view and sound of the Atlantic ocean was amazing. And Theresa, the manager was lovely and very helpful. She even upgraded us due to an error in our booking. A very unique place! Will definitely ome back again .
We wanted to stay at the ocean. And we enjoyed it to the fullest. This place is right next to the rocks at the ocean. You can jump in the cold water and sit for the sundowner on the rocks. Just get a nice bottle of wine and enjoy the scenery. Besides there is a really nice restaurant:Isabellas pretty close for a great seafood dinner.
Everything! There is an awesome rustic quirky feel about this unit that shows how much love went into making it. It was an old fish factory that the couple converted which gave it am extra cool vibe kmowing where we're sleeping. The hosts were very kind and accomodating and even prepared a fire in the fireplace for us on a late artival. Absolutely would recommend staying here
We spent one night at Grootvlei. The room was absolutely lovely - amazing view from the bed! It did not have direct access to the beach - you have to walk out of the property, up the road, and then into the Oppiduin gate. We walked to Muisbosskerm for dinner and it was much further than we thought - wouldn't recommend it haha! Luckily we were able to get a lift back! Bed was comfortable.
