Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.

Host told us she never got our order for 2 breakfasts for the 2 days we were there. We did enjoy a breakfast at a nearby town. Owner offered to put together a breakfast but we just wanted to get on with our day by then. Oops, wrong box. What we liked: the views, the quiet, the donkey, the hosts pride in her inn and her cordial demeanor too.

The suite was wonderful (especially that bed, shower and Jacuzzi), the views spectacular, the property was beautiful, the innkeeper (Maud) was sweet and very accommodating, optional breakfast was delicious. Unfortunately it rained and was chilly most of the time we were there - would like to return and use the pool. So many vineyards close by and easy to get to. Just can't say enough about this charming inn!

I arrived late due to traffic and they helped me with lovely dinner since the kitchen was closed. Breakfast was also fantastic and my room perfection. Lovely staff and welcome and a beautiful setting. I will return for sure.

Beautiful property in lovely rural Virginia. The Hayloft Suite was perfect for a couple’s getaway. Everything was clean and comfortable. The staff were attentive and friendly. Dinner at the Conservatory and breakfast at the Bistro were delicious!

We enjoyed the history of the Inn&Tavern which is centrally located to shops & restaurants. The staff were wonderful-friendly/pleasant and the room was clean and comfortable. We celebrated our one year anniversary with a four course dinner at the Tavern which was incredible. Breakfast each morning was very good as well.

The inn is charming and right in the center of town. They upgraded our room because we were celebrating our anniversary, and our room was spacious and comfortable. Most importantly, all the staff were so amazing. The communication was excellent and they seemed to anticipate our every need. Our meal at the Tavern was exceptional.
