Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
I'm not a fan of staying at hotels that are not a national brand (cleanliness) but The Cardinal Inn was our choice and when I read several reviews each one of them mentioned how clean the rooms were and so I decided to stay and I was not disappointed. 70's decor for certain but very quaint and certainly suitable for a night. I would definitely stay again.
We loved having the Roosevelt suite to celebrate our 50th anniversary! The dinner at the Speak Easy was so fantastic! We also enjoyed the Sunday brunch!
The staff was amazingly helpful ! The exterior setting of the hotel as well as the wonderful internal features were what memories are made of!
My friend and I took a girls trip to celebrate us both turning 50 this year! This place was so amazing that our birthday expectations were met 10 fold. We loved the tiny town, which we walked to from the Inn. We ate both at brunch and dinner at the Inn, and both times the food was incredible. Our room was so luxurious, and the grounds were absolutely stunning! We actually went upstairs to the roof top terrace and play games one afternoon, and it was perfect. We will definitely be going back! Next time, we will bring our husbands! :)
The staff at Mimslyn Inn were so friendly and kind. We had lost out first booking with another place and Mimslyn was able to fit us in although being overbooked. They did way more for us than the needed to and it was greatly appreciated. Wow what a place, great rooms and even better cabins.
The best part of this place is the lady at the front desk. She is so sweet and makes you feel so welcome. It was close to the Luray caverns, but then again, so is every other hotel/motel/inn in the town.
I loved the charm of the historic Inn and the staff were very kind and ready to please. Tho it's a very old building the upkeep is very good and has the original aura.

How does it work?
1
It starts with a booking
It starts with a booking
The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.
2
Followed by a trip
Followed by a trip
When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.
3
And finally, a review
And finally, a review
After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.
