I love this place. It's so convenient to get to from Raleigh and super convenient to walk to the beach. It's just a couple of blocks, and while one of the roads is somewhat busy, there's an easy crosswalk. There's a coffee shop right on the walk as well. The rooms are cute and the deck upstairs is wonderful in the morning. The Carolina Beach State Park is really close by--go on the flytrap trail--as is Fort Fisher, which has a lovely beach too. I also stopped by a lot of the public beach accesses at Kure beach on the way to Fort Fisher. Just great all around, and you can't beat the price!

I liked the location, close to everything. Nice entrance to the beach.. everyone staff & guests very friendly.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
We loved the location of the Dry Dock Inn! The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful anything we needed was attended to fairly quickly. It was with in walking distance of the beach and many restaurants! as well as the board walk! We would definitely stay again!
A great location. Walking distance to everything. Inn was very clean. Room was small but enough room for 2 of us. If you forgot anything ( husband forgot his toothbrush & razor) it was there! Would definitely stay there again.
The Inn was prefect! I do not have one single complaint. The room were clean, the beds were comfortable and the staff was great. Everything is a short walking distance away. We went to the pool, went to the beach, ate great food and done a little shopping! Once we arrived we did not drive again until we went home. It was a prefect! I will be back!
The inn had a really cute porch and we were upgraded to a spacious suite with kitchen, which was very convenient. It's super close to the beach, only a few minutes walk to all the boardwalk fun! I also loved the back porch and garden, there were cute dogs there. The cleaning staff was very friendly and helpful.
Everything was amazing the room was perfect our stay was outstanding I felt so comfortable the moment I walked in it felt at home the beds were top tier soft my face literally melted in the pillows and let’s also talk about how close it is to the beach wonderful location I’ll definitely be staying again thank you so much for my stay Dry Dock Inn
I love staying at Golden Sands, it is a smaller hotel but has fantastic views, beachfront! Staff is very nice. Rooms have been redone and are very cute. It is not a Marriot or Hampton Inn so you can't compare them to that but it is a great family place to stay. I travel alone a lot and feel very safe here!
The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff answered questions and the check-in was very easy. Tha inn is in a close location to the beach, boardwalk and shops, yet is very quiet.
