the location is great but our room was facing the parking lot . The breakfast is grab and go and of poor quality food. did not even have boiled egg at least. the restaurant is only open for dinner, perhaps because of the seasonality of the place? but if the hotel is open i expect regular services
Overall a good one night stay. Originally booked room someone had smoked in, so were switched to different room. Great river view and view of Boldt Castle. Front desk staff were very helpful with room change and information about local area attractions. Ate at both indoor restaurants. Dinner in their pub style room and breakfast in the Windows room. The food in both venues was very good, quick service, staff very pleasant and attentive.
The inn was clean and well-maintained, though dated. The room was comfortable and there wasn't any issue hearing through the walls or other guests--the soundproofing was solid. Dennis and Donna are friendly and helpful. Good location; Alexandria Bay is tiny, so everything was in walking distance within 10 minutes or less.
The room we stayed in was perfect for what we needed. Very clean, beds were very comfortable and a good view of the river from our balcony. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurants, food was very good.
Very kind people who ran the place was disappointed in the view but I would blame booking.com for the confusion not the inn. I wanted a riverside room and a jacuzzi tub thought that’s what I put in but not what we got. Won’t use booking.com again
