We had the absolute best time at Villa Thapae. Unfortunately we were only here for one night but when we come back to Chiang Mai this will be our hotel for the entire duration of our trip.

This guesthouse is pitch perfect. Marcel and Koen run a really tight ship, supported by the lovely Lah. We stayed a week and have already rebooked for next year. The rooms are spacious with comfy beds and we had a balcony where we could watch the sunset. Breakfast is delicious with lots of choice and the day long menu is also great. The pool is surrounded by beautiful plants and sunbeds and the whole effect is super relaxing. We also really liked the area, a good choice of places to eat within walking distance without needing to go into Chiang Mai centre. What really puts Liam's guesthouse above others are the owners and staff (and Lupa the dog!). Everything we could have wanted was anticipated and we were made to feel like good friends. We liked the spacious and comfortable studio. It is not next to the center but good for people that look for calm, want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and like to be next to the nature. There is a nice small waterfall not far away, it is 30 minutes to walk at maximum. Small shops and food stands are also close.
The stuff is very friendly. We could even leave our laguagge on the check-out date at the accomodation till the evening as our bus left at 8pm.

We loved our stay here. Big rooms, big comfortable bed and Nuy is the best host. If you need something, she can help you. She also runs a Cafe, where she serves the best Cappuccino in town and delicious food. We liked to stay a bit outside of the city since it is more quiet and the Appartement offers everything you need. We did lots of hiking and strolled through the city - everything is easy reachable with motorbike or grab.

The location is great with walking distance to cafes, markets and sights. The room was clean and quaint with fresh water, towels and toilet roll everyday. Checking in was easy. The cafe on the new soi, GRAVITY was amazing to go everyday for breakfast and dinner!
Great location if you want to be in the heart of Nimman and explore the area with lots of shops and restaurants. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant, Italics, and we were really happy with the food. The pasta and pizza were very good. The room was comfortable, great shower, comfy beds and sheets. The AC was great and coffee in the room was good. Breakfast in the morning was really nice as well. The staff was really wonderful too. Overall we had a very nice stay and would return.
This is just the best guest house in the old town! Everything at walking distance and Giles and his family/staff were amazing! I also booked 2 tours through them, which they recommended (Doi Inthenon trekking and elephants), and they were the best tours I've ever done! Because I was mucking around with my transfers and dates, they were very patient and accommodating, so thank you so much for that!
We enjoyed our short stay at FAV INN. The location was perfect within the old town. The space was well decorated and the layout was suitable for eating, working, & relaxing. We enjoyed the available breakfast of coffee, fruits, & breads. The room & bathroom were both clean, with space to put our belongings. There was a mini fridge & additional coffee + water heater in the room. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. Overall, we would stay here again & recommend it to others.

Beautiful old style smaller size hotel., love the green gardens full of shady spaces, nice pool ,outdoor lounges calm and peaceful, restaurant's was only serving breakfast when we were there, no lunch,dinner or bars, but the local area is full of restaurant's, room was a good size ,air-conditioned ,good laundry service .staff were excellent, nothing too much trouble.
This is probably the best guest house of Chiang Mai if not of Thailand. Nuy is a wonderful host, there is a great spirit in the house and it's an excellent place to meet people. The rooms have everything needed and it is possible to rent scooters and bicycles there. On the top of it, breakfast, dinner and even laundry were included. Just awesome

I was pleased they offered me a free upgrade to a slightly bigger room as a returning guest.
I'm able to do my own laundry with the self service machines for 20/30B depending on load/duration just outside guest house. And they kindly let you hang your laundry up to dry on their rails and even supply you extra hangers. #winning.
They also accommodated my very early check-in and late check-outs which I REALLY appreciated 🙏🏼 Kawpkoon'ka 👌💯🤩
I really enjoyed my short stay at the Rustic Guest House as I got the biggest room but located at the 4/5th floor of the building ! An extra large super comfortable bed, a clear and nice view on the city, many furnitures and a pleasant bathroom with real hot running water.
The reception female staff are great and helpful for any informations.
