Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Jay's guest house was amazing. I had the pleasure to meet him and he was very nice and helpful throughout our stay. His place is absolutely gorgeous. Perfect guest house four our stay in Wanaka. We will definitely be back during future travels.
Amazing view! super comfortable bed, spacious , clean
Our daughter loved the upstairs room for herself lol
Great service yummy dinner - everyone was happy to be there including the staff. Loved it x
Excellent location and super comfy beds. The bathroom was clean and spacious. Our kids loved the mezzanine bedroom. We ate dinner in the restaurant and it was fantastic.
The room were a little old but they were clean and comfortable. The views from the windows and deck were amazing. The kids loved the loft area. We had dinner at the restaurant which was delicious.
The accomodation was large, clean and very comfortable. It had all the facilites we need, including a kitchen and laundry facilities. Check-in was very pleasant and quick. There is a parking space for each unit and all had storage sheds for ski equipment. Town was a lovely 10 minutes walk away. Close by was a food truck park that had a decent selection of food. Seems quite busy at dinner... A walk along the lake front is highly recommeded.
Fantastic view from room. Great staff& lovely dinner in restaurant. so worth it even though parts of hotel are dated. Would stay again as view& staff were great.
The Moorings Motel and Apartments are very well located I'm the main part of Wanaka, a short stroll to the town, grocery stores, and restaurants. The apartment was very well set out with a view over the lake to the mountains. The manager, Darren, was very helpful and recommended a number of good options for grocery shopping and dinner.
The apartment was a very neat little place. Clean and tidy and partly renovated - new bathrooms, kitchenette and bedrooms. Just the lounge room to go which the owner says she will be doing soon. New Miele Washing machine is a bonus. But the big winner was the Spa! That was great to soak in after hiking all day. Price was also very good for Wanaka. Walking distance to town and lake. Owner was very nice and accomodating and keen to listen to any recommendations for improvements.
