I had a good stay and highly recommend this location - walking distance to lion rock and view point as well as in the center of the village with lots of restaurants. Before I stayed a bit further and it was a bit scary to walk in the evening with dogs barking around.
There is no kitchen but when I asked they lended me kettle and cup.
Bed was comfortable with mosquito net, good hot water shower, fan, simple facilities but clean and sufficient.
The staff were very welcoming and nice not very pushy with selling trips and services like happened to me in other locations. I recommend this place.

They were a beautiful family who made us feel very welcome. We even managed to use their taxi service to go to all the sites in Dambulla before taking us to our new hotel in Sigiriya.

Nice and large room with good mattress, clean and a fair price. Very nice and caring staff. Within walking distance to museum and Golden Temple, but for Entrance to cave temple and restaurants you need a Tuktuk or car. Car park

The design of the room was very rustic and modern. It was a clean, beautiful and relaxing place. We enjoyed every corner of it, pool, restaurant, the room... The breakfast and the dinner was so delicious. The staff, Ranga and Sucheera was so helpful about everything and smiley. We really enjoyed all of it. Highly recommend this place! :)
The property is very nice and well located near Sigirya Rock. Next to the house, there is a quiet street with a few restaurants.
The first night we had dinner in the house, prepared by the owner of the pension: it was typical Sri Lankan food, generous portion and very tasty.
The room was big, with air conditioning and clean.
The bathroom was also very big.
Be aware you’re in the nature, so there might be some insects in the room, but nothing to worry about.
The standout feature of this guest house was undoubtedly the owners' genuine warmth. Despite the property's simplicity, their exceptional friendliness, complimentary Tuktuk rides, and delightful traditional dinners created a unique and memorable.
Breakfast excellent, recommend dinner. Offered safari was well organised, saw plenty of wildlife including 40-50 elephants, knowledgeable about wildlife seen on trip. Fairly close to Lion rock one direction and bus to Dambulla other direction on road of guest house. Very friendly and helpful people. Appreciated being with a family, you are not just another client. Very good value for money . I stayed 6 days , not one day.
Banana rest guest house is amazing,
owner Ramith and his family were such amazing hosts.The room was big and clean, the garden is very peaceful.The breakfast and dinner were really delicious. It's only a few minutes walk to mainroad and owner dropped me off there with his tuctuc.
I had a FREE tuk tuk ride to Sigirya also.

We had a great time in this guest house! We spent 4 nights here which was perfect to enjoy the Sigiriya region and Dambulla too. Our host was very nice, he helped us a lot during our stay, with his own TukTuk or for some advices.
We also had breakfasts and dinners here and food was amazing!
The kids loved their stay too and played a lot with the carrom board or badminton in their beautiful garden.

great A/C.. the included breakfast is excellent everyday. Had the best local dishes for dinner cooked by Sithi and his wife. Perfect location close to Sigiriya and Pidurangala… Owner has own tuk tuk to drive you around as required for a small fee… Sithi and his family are so friendly and this place was a gem to stay at.
He even took me to Polonaruwa for the day in his tuk tuk… the best way to drive around the ancient ruins in the heat.
We loved our stay at Cattleya Guest House! We even extended our stay. It was clean, the bed and pillows were comfy, the whole area that surrounds the house is nice and quiet... and the hospitality of the owner is supreme. He provided us with delicious breakfast and dinner for a little cost, helped us with scooter rental and recommendations, and even waited for the bus with us. The wifi is strong and stabile! We are happy, that we choose to stay here.
