Beautiful location. Tuk tuk ride from town or a 10-15 minute walk. Like being in a natural environment. The sounds of wildlife amazing. Very tranquil. Well furnished and comfortable rooms. Immaculately clean, and they couldn’t be any more helpful, resetting our room everytime we went out. Lovely breakfast, and a modest pool which we had to ourselves every day.
We only eat breakfast here, and opposite is a large hotel where you can pay to go in and have their extensive buffet for dinner if you don’t want to drive into town.
Beautiful views and very nice family! The owner is so sweet and made sure we were happy. He dropped us to a restaurant and also dropped us at the bus station the next day. They cook breakfast and dinner and it was our favourite breakfast in Sri Lanka! They have a lovely rustic kitchen for your use if you wish, we loved it. Wifi is a bit iffy but that’s okay. We loved our stay!

It’s a really nice guest house with a really nice family. It’s up the hill so at night you will hear only sounds of nature. You can order a dinner. I asked about rice with vegetables and it was really tasty.
Breakfast consists of fruits, avocado, toasts.
Room could look a bit shabby but it’s clean.
The price is nice and reasonable.
We had a great experience at Villa49. Shanani and Upi are very welcoming hosts and are always there to help. The guest house is located quite central in Kandy, with all exciting sightseeing points within walking distance range.

lovely pool, clean and good temperature. Interior decor really nicely done, with modern yet rustic feel. Dinner served at the hotel was excellent, a good selection of traditional SriLankan curry dishes and Rice. Gaya the host and other staff were all both helpful and friendly.
