Despite this accommodation being a little far from Habarana station (which is where the train from Colombo arrives), the place itself is fantastic and the hosts were unbelievably helpful! Once I had arrived, my room was given to me straight away - it was very clean, has AC and had a private bathroom which was a wet-room type shower. The bed had a mosquito net too and was fairly comfortable but only had a sheet not a duvet. The breakfast and dinner at the hotel were delicious and home-cooked by the hosts. I had a papaya-banana smoothie as part of breakfast and it was so tasty! The host helped organise a driver for the day for my activities at a very reasonable rate and he offered to drop me to Dambulla bus station on my final morning free of charge so I could get the bus to Kandy.

This place offers exceptional value for the price. The staff is excellent, and the atmosphere is incredibly calm and peaceful. The room was perfect, with a beautiful view of the paddy fields. There is a nearby lake where you can enjoy a stunning view of Sigiriya Rock in the evening. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay.

Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Nice room and good location. You can see playing monkeys from your terrace and you get really good breakfast shame we didn’t have a dinner I believe it would be great also.
The owner is amazing, he helped us with everything (picked us up from the bus station, organized trips to Sigiriya, to Minneriya, brought us to a place to eat,….), the homemade breakfast was great (a lot, very yummy, fresh juice), it is very calm there
Short and comfortable stay - new location with brand new rooms, they are very stylish also! Pool area with clean cozy pool. They also have a bar with tea, various coffee (local and Niqaragua), huge meniu for breakfast, dinner and lunch. Moreover - the staff is superb, owner is superb, they arrange everything you could need - tuktuk, car to airport or even all your vacation plan. Think after few years this place will be known in whole region!
Very friendly staff! Showed us around the fields and town. Also helped us arranging transportation (which can be a bit difficult since it is 15 minutes off the main road).
There is a communal dinner which is nice to sit together with everyone. Plenty of food. They made a special meal for our toddler, so kind!
Superb quality - from the rooms and pool area, to the service, staff, food, everything! Rooms are new, classy, comfortable, also relaxing pool area, suits perfect for kids, pool is not so deep. They have local coffee bar, best breakfast (local, english), very good dinner from big meniu. Owner is superb - arranged all the stuff we needed, info provided, tuktuks, etc. All staff is very friendly. You could not expect more, but they do more :)
Had an amazing stay at Dambulla Kings Inn. The owners are the nicest people you will ever meet! They were so kind, attentive and are really lovely people. The guest house is located away from the busy town and roads and is super quiet with a nice garden. The room was spacious, clean and comfy! Breakfast was great too! Highly recommend staying here. We stayed 5 nights at Golden Rainbow Guest House to visit Dambulla and Sigiriya. Golden Rainbow is ideal for visiting these interesting places. Kumare the host took very good care of us 👍👍👍 He sure is the best host in the world! Every day, he served delicious highest-quality breakfast and dinner cooked by his friendly wife. Big room. Front of the Guest House is all open plan including large restaurant area and tables & chairs. Quiet location but not far from center & Buddha cave's. Hot water. Good dinner & simple breakfast is good. Friendly atmosphere.
