Beautiful pub/inn. With so much character. Very small village and isolated but we loved that. Staff was so lovely and the dinner we had was excellent. Wasn’t expecting it to be so good.

The staff was very friendly and professional. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The hotel itself was charming, located in a historic building on the main street (High Street) of the town. The ground floor pub was warm and welcoming with good food and drink.

Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
The Angel is in a great location. The disabled room (15) was spacious and the Manager, Aldo made sure there was a disabled chair in the bathroom for my husband to shower. The beds were very comfortable.The staff were lovely. A 14th century Inn with a fabulous beer garden. Food delicious. Lovely and quiet.
The cooked breakfast of scrambled egg and salmon was very good but we would have expected to also have had toast and marmalade/jam afterwards.
The two dinners were also good though service was a bit haphazard.
Very courteous, helpful & friendly staff. Cannot fault them. Location great & ease & cost of parking fantastic. Warm, comfortable room. Plenty of hot water. Food & dinner service excellent. Breakfasts, great choice & plentiful.
The hotel has a nice bar, a good selction of meals for dinner and a fine breakfast. I understand that the hotel is rated as a 2 star hotel, but I am sure that rating will change to 3 star soon.
Only had dinner once. Simple pub food, ok. Good wifi. Clean rooms and tidied/refreshed each day.
