Ideally located for visiting Blenheim Palace, this traditional inn provides guests with everything they need. A family owned establishment who genuinely care about the comforts of their guests. A great pub menu (inc a lovely authentic Chicken and Spinach Balti) is available and the breakfast was cooked to order and plentiful too.

Great location. Food was pretty good, albeit a bit pricey. Their staff try really hard to accommodate. The air conditioning.

Great location, super cute rooms attached to pub. Great beer, food service!
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
Very convenient for Blenheim Palace and the concert we were attending. Staff very friendly and helpful. Close to the train station for trips to Oxford. Across the road we had access to Blenheim Park for walks. A local pub, 10 minutes walk for dinner in the evening. Certainly going back next year. Could do with a magnifying mirror for the bathroom, for people like me with aging sight.
Warm welcome to the Punchbowl which is located in the centre of Woodstock, where we were allocated a lovely spacious front room.
We enjoyed a tasty dinner and again the service from staff was impeccable.
Would love to stay again soon.
We stayed at the Crown for one night as we were attending Nocturne at Blenheim Palace and it was the perfect location. Our room was spacious, beautifully styled and a super comfy bed. Loved the bathroom products (especially the toothbrushes as I forgot mine) and once we’d worked out it was cafetière coffee, not instant, we enjoyed our hot drinks. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was delicious. Nice atmosphere in the bar, staff friendly and helpful. And our breakfast was amazing! We would definitely stay here again.
Fantastic helpful staff, comfy beds, nice bathroom, amazing breakfast. We were attending Nocturne atB
Blenheim Palace and caught the s3 bus (bus stop opposite the DOM. Managed to get a cab home afterwards. Would like to come back for dinner, bed & breakfast another time!
I visited the Bear Inn many years ago when it was a quaint cozy Coaching Inn. Not one fire was lit, and the ambiance of an historic Inn has vanished. Very disappointing. The staff could not have been more helpful and eager to assist. SUCH a pitty this unique setting has been wasted for profit.
