Beautiful thatched inn with a large garden area. An extensive menu was offered which was served by well-trained and friendly staff. The bar was well stocked. The hosts John & Louise were very welcoming and friendly and all the residents responded accordingly.
A very professionally-run inn which sits close to the picturesque village of Whipsnade.
Stayed here before a visit to the zoo next day. Absolutely perfect, Louise and John were great hosts and very friendly. We had the roast dinner, starter and pud all served by really chatty staff and as good as we've eaten anywhere. Great value, as were the drinks. Breakfast next day was just as good and set us up for a long day at the zoo. Room was superb, comfortable bed, good shower great nights' sleep. Would recommend this pub to anyone looking to stay in the area.
Lovely Country Inn with very hospitable owners. Thank you for making our stay memorable. We would definitely book in again with you if we're ever over that way.
Excellent location for visiting Whipsnade Zoo - literally 5 minutes up the road
Evening Food was very nice. Good portion sizes. Service excellent.
Breakfast was excellent. Good quality food and lots of english breakfast choice.
The cooked breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice, well cooked and well presented.
The owners were very friendly and considerate.
The property from the outside is stunning and very inviting being an old Inn, the beer garden and hanging baskets made it special
The restaurant food was good , plentiful ( large portions) and tasty
Everything from the moment we arrived. All staff were very friendly and helpful. I had asked for a bottle of champagne to be in the room as it was our wedding anniversary. When we were taken to our room the champagne was chilling in ice bucket. We also had dinner in the restaurant that evening and the food was lovely! Have stayed before and will definitely be coming back!
Had a lovely dinner when we first arrived.Lovely friendly staff, in a modern, clean dining area. Bedrooms were basic but comfortable and clean. Had a great night's sleep in a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was lovely with fresh produce cooked to order and fresh juice, tea, coffee, cereal, and toast available. Nothing was too much trouble, even making us a latte to take away with us once the machine had heated up!!
