Our family of four was on a two-week tour of the UK and the Royal Oak was our last big splurge night. We are fans of James May and when we found out he was an investor we were keen to stay in his Inn. The space has been beautifully renovated, the staff is friendly and welcoming and the rooms are comfy and well-appointed. We had a delicious dinner, including cocktails made with Mr. May's gin, and a wonderful complimentary breakfast in the morning. It was a perfect end to our vacation. Our day was full starting at Jeremy Clarkson's Diddly Squat Farm Shop, then Stonehenge, and ending at The Royal Oak so, it was all pretty perfect!

Charming village. Very good meal and English breakfast. Close proximity to the exceptional Stourhead.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
The angel inn will definitely not disappoint, lovely welcome, easy check in, beautiful clean comfortable room, spacious bathroom set in a wonderful wiltshire village.
Couldn't be happier.
The location is about 4m out of town in a small village road/private transport is essential. the room was good, the continental breakfast was good although the sandwich was a bit strange but nice. Dinner was both well priced & good quality & we would go back.
For £300 one would expect a good standard..this was ,sadly, not the case..the television did not work..we had to send back a duck dinner(half fat)very dark..Kevin was good..tried to do too much.other staff lacked finesse(should you have dessert menu thrown on table?)
This is the second time we have stayed at The Angel Inn and we love this place.
Tucked away in a small village and appears to be incredibly popular indeed. Rooms are great, staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast set up was perfect for us (hence why we stayed again) - everything you need in the room plus a sandwich for your onward journey!
Nice big room. Very warm welcome, the staff was very friendly. Had everything we needed. Newly renovated bathroom, bigger than in most of the other inns we've stayed in. Food in the pub was great. Big parking lot. Only 30min drive to Stonehenge.
Room was amazing lovely touches amazing decor we had a patio for our dog and us to sit out in the gardens looked lovely some amazing ornaments, lovely gift box for our dog as well as a bed and towel, breakfast well we have never had such amazing service and delicious breakfast, dinner also could. Not fault anything they even have a dog menu ❤️
