Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
This was the third time we stayed at The Arch Inn and it still deserves a 10. The view on the Loch, the location, the cleanliness of the rooms, the pleasant and down to earth attitude of the staff... It was splendid in 2018, in 2023 and hasn't changed a bit.
While staying there, don't forget to visit the Seafood Shack (as good as it is told), the tiny Ceard-gallery, the Ullapool Museum and the surrounding hills.
Breakfast and dinner were well cooked tasty and staff attentive and friendly.
All in all we had a great time and would come back certainly and recommend to friends.
The impression we had was of a hotel that is doing well
Excellent location in the centre of town. You can walk anywhere and there was good parking. Since the rooms were not overly large (they were very comfortable), it was nice to have access to a beautiful lounge. There was access to wine glasses so we had a nice bottle after dinner. The owner kindly brought us knives and plates for our cheese. We loved the breakfast, especially the Ullapool smoked salmon. The fresh fruit salad was really nice as well. Overall a really great stay
Excellent location, within walking distance of the ferry terminal and shops. Rooms nicely refurbished recently. Extensive breakfast buffet including options for special dietary requirements. Dinner was delicious too.
