We have been to the Seaham area several times and this is the best place we have stayed. The room was small but had ample storage so didn't feel too small. The room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. The bathroom was of ample size and the large shower with rain type shower head was invigorating. The breakfast was outstanding and the staff very friendly and helpful.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
The whole Tynmouth Castle Inn experience was fabulous. Staff were attentive and focussed. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was excellent. We had 2 dogs with us, and it was perfect. A ground floor room with a terrace... just awesome.
The stay was very comfortable, amazing room and facilities. Breakfast was all you needed for starting the day and as much as you wanted too. We had dinner at the Inn too the evning before which was very good.
views of the sea and sky were super from our room, quality of the renovation was super, atmosphere in the Inn downstairs was excellent as was the food, breakfast was pleasant and in a lovely setting. car parked outside the door was also a bonus. Staff were excellent and all very knowledgeable and lovely.
Excellent stay at the Castle Inn Tynemouth. Great, helpful staff, recently refurbished and attractive bar and restaurant and clean, comfortable room and bathroom.
We stayed for two nights. This is a large house turned into a guest house, with some ensuite rooms and some with a shared bathroom. The house is lovely, stylish and well kept. Our room was small, but exactly as described. The large smart TV was a nice touch for before bed. Sea view was lovely. The host was really friendly and accommodating.
The thing that surprised me the most was the value for money - other places for this price (sometimes more) did not look as good, and this location is premium!
Location is perfect, great views. The host was friendly and informative, he has a well maintained and very clean guest house. Dog friendly, the pooch loved it, plenty of places to walk.
Great breakfast next morning. Just perfect for our visit. We will be back. Thanks 😊
Location, the newness, spacious bedrooms, friendly and very helpful staff. Great emphasis has been placed on the Bar, (hence called an Inn I suppose) which doubles as the restaurant. The Bar is extensive, beautifully appointed, I like the different sitting options, many of which offer a degree of privacy, the bar area is impressive and I expect will attract a lot of locals rather in-house guests. The views from the Inn are delightful. My bedroom was large, of course newly furnished, comfortable, with a very nice shower/bathroom.
