The location was perfect and great for me and my sister to stay in contact with our parents whilst on holiday. The place was clean with plenty of room. Greatly appreciated putting hot chocolate in the room since we don't drink coffee and it makes it feel more homely. The bed were very comfortable and the chairs too. We enjoyed both breakfast the food was great.
The staff were lovely and very polite always friendly when speaking with them.

The Three Wheat Heads Inn in Thropton is an absolute delight! From the moment we arrived, the friendly staff made us feel incredibly welcome. The value for money is exceptional, with top-quality service and amenities at a great price. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent, featuring delicious and beautifully prepared dishes. The accommodation was wonderfully comfortable, providing a cozy retreat after a day of exploring. We couldn't have asked for a better stay and can't wait to return!
The room had a lovely view and a good bed, everything we needed was there.
The food for breakfast and dinner was excellent, and not expensive
Beautiful walk up to Simonside with great views
Wonderful staff, helpful and friendly. Good room. Food very good indeed with a wide choice at dinner and good breakfast. Lovely location, quiet with great views.
Lovely country inn. Very comfortable room looking over rolling countryside. Comfy bed. Had a nice meal in restaurant with a good menu. Great breakfast. Staff really friendly and helpful.
Great Staff and a lovely welcoming atmosphere. The Three Wheat Heads is a lovely old inn set in beautiful scenery and was a perfect base for visiting Craggside, Banburgh Castle and the Farne Islands. Breakfast was huge with everything on offer to eat that you could possibly want and the service was fast. We also had an evening meal here and it was extremely hearty and reasonably priced. The room was a good size with a spotlessly clean en-suite shower and the bed was comfortable.
The room was clean and spacious, and the breakfast was super-delicious. Superb hosts and we had dinner there as well - best meal in Northumberland.
