Looking for an inn?
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.

On the plus side the staff we meet were all fabulous there just weren't many of them. The breakfast was very good but dinner was not always available if a tour group was not staying. Location is good.

I loved this hotel! This was the cutest room for one at the top floor of the inn. It had a skylight that opened for fresh air that looked over the tops of houses, and the other window looked out over the harbor. The bathroom mirror was amazing. It was the perfect ambient lighting to get ready. I need one for my bathroom at home. Because the room was so high up and away from the other rooms, it was also very quiet. I felt like I was the only person in the hotel.

We were very pleased. Very convenient location both for people coming on the ferry , and touring the area. We felt very comfortable and welcome. Highly recommended..

The staff were wonderful. Jenna was so helpful in taking care of all needs and spending time with directions etc. Lovely welcoming atmosphere, and so quiet and comfortable. Nice choice of dinner at the restaurant. The breakfast was great. So much to choose from and everything locally sourced. Will definitely stay again. Also very close to every site one wants to visit.

Perfect location, quiet with lovely outside space to enjoy and less than a 10 min walk from the ferry terminal. Beautiful guest house, very comfortable with lots of thoughtful little extra touches throughout for guests to enjoy. The home cooked breakfast was exceptional 😋 and the owners were welcoming and friendly, and went out of their way to make you feel at home. Thank you!

Amazing location and wonderful friendly staff at reception. We visited during a festival (Stromness shopping week) so very bustling and busy times but the Ferry Inn team helped us with quieter rooms. The feel is one of a truely old Inn above a pub that was upgraded, very cool. The meal at the pub was nice and the whole pub feel excellent.
