The pedestal fan was a bonus due to extreme hot weather. Despite diggers just up the road, even with the windows open, we didn't hear much street or roadwork noises. The lady who served us breakfast on the final day of our stay was cheery and helpful as we wanted somewhere to store our bags (after our check out time) until our train journey home rather than having to lug them around in the heat. We still have no idea who the owners of the guest house are or what any of their names are!

The White Star Tavern is truly exceptional! A piece of history with very nicely finished rooms, quiet and cozy bar and dinning areas, an outstanding staff, reasonably priced, and every major attraction in Southampton is a short walk away. The front desk was welcoming and offered to help with bags, local info, taxi reservations, etc.. The food was great , and the dinning staff were incredibly attentive. It’s a no brainer.., stay at The White Star Tavern if you are in Southampton!

The White Star Tavern was perfect. Great location in the city, walkable to the cruise port, and the room was very comfortable and spacious. We had a delicious dinner in the pub downstairs and an outstanding breakfast in the morning. The staff were friendly and helpful. Could not have asked for anything better.
