This is a quant bed/breakfast/tavern. We had a great dinner and drinks when we arrived and breakfast the next morning was cooked to order and excellent. The room was charming. You have the climb the stairs to get around this historic building, but the rooms were nice. The location is right in the middle of this historic town of Hexham. It was a great spot to stay when touring Hadrian's wall.

Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
A lovely stay away for the night for me and my 16 year old son to celebrate his GCSEs being finished. Comfy room, lovely spa/pool, afternoon tea was delicious and dinner too.
We liked the exceptionally friendly welcome and our spacious bedroom. We appreciated the non-slip surface in the shower. We enjoyed our dinner - imaginative, well cooked and nicely presented. The provisions for our DIY continental breakfast were generous and varied. We admired the efficient and friendly service at dinner.
Continental breakfast lovely-room clean with everything that you need when travelling through they have thought of everything-the staff were great and dinner was good too
Very welcoming place. Room was a good size and in a perfect location for walking routes I had planned. Dinner booked for the bar area at 7:30pm and I went down around 5pm. Very welcoming staff and local. Because the pub ic community owned there was a very community feel and I got talking to lots of different people throughout the evening.
Breakfast and Dinner were excellent.
All the staff were very helpful, especially in the dining room, with a special mention for one young waitress named Mollie.
