You couldn’t get more central to Beer than the Anchor Inn. I have often enjoyed a meal in their beer garden overlooking the sea on a summers day. The location is absolutely perfect with Sea Views from all rooms.

Great location, comfortable and relaxed, very good staff, nice and warm, good food and drink
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Helpful Staff; nice, well kept gardens; lovely position with a gate into the riverside park, and in walking distance to the town and beach.
Good breakfast and quickly served. Similarly dinner was sensibly priced, quickly served up, and perfectly acceptable, although not exactly haut cuisine.
Upgraded due to heat to a super room in the courtyard. Bar area very relaxing and dinner in the restaurant was excellent.
Sadly due to the reason for our visit we didn't have time to make the most of the facilities which looked fabulous but we will be back to do so next time!
The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. They made us feel very welcome. The bathroom looked newly furnished and had a walk in shower. The room was large with a settee and coffee table and there was plenty of storage space. We eat breakfast and dinner in the dining room and was surprised at the quality of food for the price. It was good value for money. There were plenty of spaces both inside and out to sit and enjoy a drink from the bar and it was within easy walking distance of the beach and main town.
Breakfast was lovely, a good choice of well cooked food and staff were really friendly and welcoming. Times were just right - not too early!room was really comfortable and had a super view. Dinner was very nice and good value.
Location was perfect. We were walking the SW coast path and it was directly on the route. We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel - both were lovely. Staff were very charming and helpful.
The hosts and staff were very friendly and welcoming. Lovely old pub feel, it is aftrrall a historic Inn.
The room was clean and very comfortable and breakfast was delicious.
