Anchor Inn by Greene King Inns, hotel in Beer

With fantastic views overlooking the sea, this charming inn is situated in the beautiful coastal village of Beer. It features a cliff-top beer garden and a restaurant with locally caught fish.

You couldn’t get more central to Beer than the Anchor Inn. I have often enjoyed a meal in their beer garden overlooking the sea on a summers day. The location is absolutely perfect with Sea Views from all rooms.

Helpful Staff; nice, well kept gardens; lovely position with a gate into the riverside park, and in walking distance to the town and beach. Good breakfast and quickly served. Similarly dinner was sensibly priced, quickly served up, and perfectly acceptable, although not exactly haut cuisine.

Upgraded due to heat to a super room in the courtyard. Bar area very relaxing and dinner in the restaurant was excellent. Sadly due to the reason for our visit we didn't have time to make the most of the facilities which looked fabulous but we will be back to do so next time!

The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. They made us feel very welcome. The bathroom looked newly furnished and had a walk in shower. The room was large with a settee and coffee table and there was plenty of storage space. We eat breakfast and dinner in the dining room and was surprised at the quality of food for the price. It was good value for money. There were plenty of spaces both inside and out to sit and enjoy a drink from the bar and it was within easy walking distance of the beach and main town.
