This small family-owned and run country hotel in North Suffolk was once a rural public house; today, it has been sympathetically renovated and still retains its historic charm and character.
Situated in picturesque Bardwell, Six Bells Inn offers cooked breakfasts, a traditional restaurant and free parking.

The breakfast comprised a decent selection - my full English was freshly prepared, delicious and delightfully served in a very pleasant conservatory extension to the bar/ lounge. My room, ensuite and bed were comfortable with a pretty view from the window across the adjacent countryside.

The location was good as far as accessibility to parking and within walking distance to the town centre. The double bed was very comfortable and the cleanliness and decor was good throughout. (Pity about there being no socket to plug in the microwave.)
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Breakfast was excellent and a good choice on the menu. We ate dinner there too: soup was warm, cheese and biscuits overpriced. Village is very attractive but there are very few commercial outlets there. We got parking on site, just; I imagine it can be difficult when the pub is full.
The Bell Inn was a lovely little hotel. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed with very adequate amenities provided. Ample car parking space.
The staff were very helpful.
We ate in the restaurant in the evening, a very nicely prepared meal at a very reasonable price, and breakfasted at the hotel before leaving for home.
We would unreservedly recommend The Bell Inn.
The purpose of our visit was to visit The Bressingham Steam Museum and Gardens. The hotel is a short drive to the attraction.
Lovely Breakfast lots of choice . Food quality both at breakfast and dinner superb. Location ideal for the locations I was visiting due to work . Lovely Outside seating area . The Decor has been updated and is looking lovely Staff members lovely it was a pleasure to stay there .
This lovely, quaint, pub proved to be quite a find. The rooms are comfortable and quirky. The food is truly excellent - the website indicates standard "pub grub", which in no way does it justice. I had two delicious dinners from the daily specials menu. Whoever is in the kitchen can cook and the food comes out freshly prepared and hot. I left too early each day to try breakfast, which I knew would be the case, so I cannot comment.
