The Buck Inn, hotel in Richmond

Located in the heart of Richmond, this small hotel is well-located for exploring the beautiful scenery and features of the town. Each room has a TV, and luggage storage is available at the property.

We managed to park right outside the pub- which was a bonus and the landlady explained the town parking situation to us straight away, to avoid getting a ticket. The pub was very lively when we arrived, possibly due to it being 'mad' Friday, but we couldn't hear anything from the room. We had to climb 2 flights of stairs for our room, which wasn't a problem for us, but might be worth bearing in mind if you are not too mobile. The view out of the window over the town and castle was fantastic. Breakfast the next day was nice- full English, cereals, toast (lots of) and tea / coffee. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

Classic room over a pub. Lovely staff. Greeted us kindly when we arrived, showed us to our room (2 adults, 2 kids (14, 11). The room was fine: not glamorous, but it was comfortable and it met our needs. The breakfast the next day we quite good, and the servers at breakfast were particularly kind. The location was just right for us: quiet, pleasant spot in North Yorkshire.

Beautiful old coaching inn with heaps of history and perfect location for our stay whilst travelling north. We were made to feel so welcome and treated like we had stayed there many times before by an amazing team. The food and accommodation were second to none in our book

The room here was lovely, the bed was super comfy and the view from the window was lovely. They even had proper big cups for tea in the room! The room was small but perfectly formed and I couldn't have asked for more to make it a really comfy experience. I had dinner downstairs and even though I was travelling alone I felt comfortable and the staff were really friendly - I'm so sorry I forgot to ask names! A proper Yorkshire pub with lovely rooms - just book it!

Stayed three nights. Very comfortable bed. My breakfast bacon was cooked to perfection very crispy as requested. Staff very friendly and helpful. I was given a later check out time due to my forward travel arrangements. Offered a child's portion for dinner when I said I wasn't a big eater.
