From arriving late and our host waiting and helping us to settle in our room to leaving on Sunday morning, everything was perfect. Firstly the host are welcoming , friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We had breakfast every morning and the food was unbelievably tasty. Talking to the regulars In the pub they also recommended the food (We were at a wedding close by so didn't eat apart from Breakfast) Our room was very clean and tidy, with everything we needed.

This ancient inn has a good selection of Real Ales, very good food and a great ambiance. Situated directly on the Coast to Coast Walk, this is clearly a perfect venue for people walking in the area. The hearty breakfast (included in the price) sets one up for the day. All in all, great value for money and left me wanting to return!

The location. The people in charge were very good/excellent. The location sublime. The villages in that area were lovely. There were very few people so it was a pleasure. The Bridge Inn was pictur perfect and in keeping with the location.

We were upgraded to a bigger room; great position; helpful staff, although had to advise on how to chill wine (you need iced water, not just ice). Dinner was quite good; breakfast was very good.

It’s strategic location in the village and, being an Inn, the different ambience from hour to hour, day to day, depending on whether the bar was open, the weather and the day of the week.
