Friendly and welcoming staff, the room was clean and comfortable. The only issue was that it became a bit hot during the night even when the heating off and the window cracked. It must have been all the surrounding rooms which had their heating on. Definitely not anything that should put anybody off! The dinner was great and the Inn is cozy this time of the year! The location is great seeing how as soon as you get out you're at the bottom of the famous Mermaid Street.

Very friendly staff. Downstairs mainly given over to restaurant spaces and little space to sit in the hotel comfortably. Lovely outside space made up for that, since it was lovely weather.
Large room.
Big breakfast.

everything we could have wished for and more exceptional breakfast and good staff, massive thanks to sharon who served us breakfast it was all outstanding from beginning to end i didnt want to go home thank you very muchna
We had dinner at the pub but this is extra. Great meal nevertheless. Breakfast was included and made to order full English breaky, and it was great. The room is spacious and well presented. Exceptional stay all round.
The room was large & clean. The small fridge was a bonus with water & fresh milk in. There was plenty of tea, fruit teas & coffee sachets. The breakfast was excellent. We booked dinner there and the food was amazing.
We liked all of the food, I’m not a big breakfast person, so if I’m truthful something sweet it what I prefer, pancakes with cream and syrup. The dinners were perfect, spot on. We will always come back
My girlfriend and I stayed at the Two Sawyers on Saturday 28th October 2023 and despite the inclement weather, the greeting and the property could not have been warmer. What a marvellous country Inn! Clean, cosy, superb!
The staff were all very attentive, polite, professional and happy!
Lunch and supper on the 28th were cracking - proper country pub fare - as was the hearty breakfast on the 29th! Marvellous!!
The evening dinner was amazing my husband’s steak was outstanding he said
My vegetarian option of cauliflower curry - wasent what I expected as it was a whole side of a cauliflower plus sauce on the side 😩so bit uninteresting
But the room was comfy nice to have a fridge and proper milk for tea
Lovely genuinely historic inn in a pretty garden setting. Staff team all welcoming, helpful and friendly. Excellent breakfast and evening meal. Our room was clean and comfortable.
Location suited us perfectly - a nice village with easy access to beach walks, Rye, Battle, etc. Plus on site parking.
