The George Inn & Plaine, hotel in Pensford

The George Inn is a 14th century inn and Plaine is a 16th century building located immediately opposite The George, situated in Norton Saint Philip.

The property is absolutely amazing. The old building of the George is amazing, we had dinner at the restaurant, the food was wow. The breakfast is outstanding. You have a menu to choose from. We had the eggs Benedict. The coffee is very good. We slept at the Plaine. The rooms are so beautiful, mega comfortable bed, some very small things like pillow mist makes such difference.

Although we thought breakfast was a little expensive, it was really good and the staff were so helpful in fulfilling all our requests. Dinner on both night was most enjoyable, and as for the room, beautifully clean and comfortable. A great idea was the fresh milk !!

We arrived late on the Friday evening and the man at the bar (I didn't catch his name) was extremely welcoming and helpful in showing us where to park, asking if we needed breakfast/dinner reservations etc. The staff were really friendly.

Looked after very well at breakfast and dinner, good excellent, service was quick and the customer service was also very good The rooms were lovely with everything you could need, toiletries were brilliant, love to know where you get them from. Had a peaceful night’s sleep. Extra towels were provided when asked but turns out that was my mistake as I hadn’t specified there were two people sharing a room
