The Red Lion is a beautiful place to stay, the room was absolutely spotless clean with everything you could possibly need. Very pleasant stay. The landlady was kind to order a taxi as the inn was still too far away to reach in time in the evening from Hadrian´s Wall. Great evening meal and breakfast. Very comfortable beds and a fantastic bathroom.

Delightful inn, the rooms were excellent - clean, comfortable, and recently refurbished. Secure storage for 4 bikes. The restaurant had an extensive and varied menu and the food was excellent. Good choice of ales and cider in the bar and plenty of tables to sit outside.
