Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
Friendly staff, live music Sunday afternoon and very reasonable room albeit small but the shower stall modern and large and had decaf coffee and candy bowl in room. Dinner average but great surroundings.
Very convenient to every need nearby: clinic, chemist, woolen mill outlet, Co op, plenty of free parking. Formerly camped out in towns campsite which was beautiful.

I didnt take the dinner Offer, but the breakfast was excellent and great service. thank you.
I was pleasantly surprised by the room, very comfortable and clean and good provision of tea/coffee and hot chocolate, cold drinks.
Plenty of towels, except a bathmat but that was ok.
Just the sofa was a little low to sit in and get out of! but was fine.

Great fun to stay in a Guinness Book-listed hotel. The staff were all delightful, could not have been more pleasant and helpful. The room was small but clean and had everything that was needed.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Moffat House. The staff were lovely. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and polite. The accommodation was excellent. It is tastefully decorated, clean, comfortable, and well located . Breakfast and dinner were excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Have stayed here before. The provision exceeds five star premises. Room is virtually a suite. Leather sofa instead of one chair like most. Fresh milk in jug in fridge. plus individual Cokes/water and bowl of wrapped chocolate mini bars...yes you will give way to temptation HA.
Dinner meal and breakfast good ..above average. Staff all wilco and attentive.
Wonderful stay in a character guest house. very comfortable rooms and very nice food served at breakfast and dinner (if you choose to eat there at night). Easy parking just across the road.
