The location is very close to the airport, the room was very comfortable and cute and we liked that we had a private bathroom. The bed was also pretty good to sleep in.

I was disappointed. It felt like an episode of Hotel Hell. I was exhausted from travel all day and let the hotel know I will be coming around 6pm. Normal check in is at 3pm but when I arrived my room was still not ready. So I then had to wait for the lady to clean my room and when I did go up to my room the lady didn't even offer to help with my luggage and it was in some backwards way through hidden hallways that was extremely confusing and stupid. My room was not clean. I found pubic hairs all over the shower and calcium build up in there too. The bed had these gross worn out sham pillows and the floor was gritty. I was not happy. I slept with my shirt put over the pillow as my own pillowcase cause I wasn't sure if my sheets were changed. The little girl in the bar had a bad attitude and was not accommodating at all. Also, I wanted to order food up to my room but I would need to come and grab it myself even though you are in the service industry and provide ZERO service to your guests. The burger was crap and old and tasted frozen, the fries were decent but they are not skinny fries so don' advertise that. Then my appetizer of gnocci consisted of 5 pieces of old hard pasta's that were just soaked in the most disgusting oil and had no flavor and were just slapped together. Absolutely terrible and I was still starving so I had to buy nuts and chips from the front just so I don't go to bed hungry from their crap food. Wine was also old and started to turn as well. The only redemption was the cool bartender the next morning who was helpful and kind to me. Blonde fellow who studied history in school. Other than that - absolute crap and I actually do come to that area often for work but will purposely not be staying in that hotel anymore due to the poor management, lack of care, cleanliness, and overall value for the money spent there. Fix it cause your locals deserve better.

A lovely room above a tavern. Check-in was smooth, and everything was as described. One train stop from Stansted airport. Thoughful touches like robes and slippers, a great meal downstairs, and a convenience store next door. Bed was very comfortable and the bottles of water in the refrigerator and couple of small snacks were much appreciated. We enjoyed our stay, Thank you!

Lovely place. Traditional and modern in one. I was able to sleep and eat in the same place. My room was small, cozy, and comfortable. The staff were very kind and helpful. Bar and restaurant were great. The food was delicious. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe. It was an excellent choice.

Smack dab in the centre. Good pubs and cafes nearby. Property is old of course and definitely shabby but a large clean room with everything I needed for a night.

Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
We liked the breakfast provided to eat in our room - we had half of it for supper as we were tired and did not want to go and find food. We had a good Sunday dinner in the pub, meeting up with family. The facilities were fine and the village location is great. It suited us well and was good value for money.
Out of the way attractive village Inn. Room off courtyard was spacious, clean and comfortable. Dinner in the pub was excellent. Really friendly staff. Good value for money and would recommend.
Wonderful inn, fabulous history to it and in a beautiful village setting. The accommodation was lovely and well appointed with an in house breakfast which far surpassed expectations, though we decided to have breakfast in the restaurant and save the in house for later. Good value and so much better than our usual premier inn. We will be back!
Really comfortable country inn with excellent food and lovely staff. Enjoyed our spacious room and a lovely meal in the well-stocked bar. Good vegetarian options and great service. Handy for M11.
The room was small but comfortable. Very quiet... a nice setting which I think would be very pleasant in the summer.
Had dinner in the restaurant which was also good value although drinks were a little pricey.
We went to the fox inn as it was our wedding anniversary, we were going out for a meal and then staying at the fox inn. The staff were lovely very helpful. We had a problem with our shower, my husband rang them as they closed at 3pm and the staff were out within 5 minutes to fix the problem. We stayed for breakfast which was lovely and plan to go back foe a meal. Really made our anniversary.
Nice inn with good food. The room was clean and comfortable.
