The White Hart, hotel in Somerton

The White Hart has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Somerton. Guests can make use of a bar. All guest rooms in the inn are equipped with a coffee machine.

This is a delightful character hotel with lots of original features right in the heart of the pretty village of Somerton which had been sympathetically decorated and surprisingly spacious with a courtyard garden. Although a busy village pub, our room was surprisingly quiet.

Nice warm welcome, lovely country setting, and the food for dinner in the restaurant was really good, if not a little bit limited, but can fully understand as to why. The breakfast was of real quality, all locally sourced produce, fresh and tasty.

Really wonderful staff at the property particularly James who we met at check in and again when we ate at the Devonshire Arms in the evening. He brought us a lightbulb to our room and was generally really charming , helpful and friendly. The food was very good and the inn had a lovely atmosphere in the evening. Fabulous bathroom too and really comfy bed.

Such a beautiful place!! Loved the rooms, dining area and gardens. Great food! Stayed here on our way back to London from Cornwall. Would highly recommend it! We literally booked the rooms two hours before we got there and caught our host a bit off guard in a busy dinner seating. They managed to fix everything for us and it was a great ending to our holliday.

A place with real character. Staff was extremely helpful. When a breakdown caused as major delay arriving, (after midnight), we had access to our room, and the staff even provided sandwiches for our very late dinner. Meals were convenient and delicious.

The location was perfect with lots of interesting places within walking distance. The staff and locals were very friendly, welcoming and super helpful. It is a historic property and the room was very nicely furnished, quiet with really good WiFi,(router in the room). There was even a fridge and a good sized flat screen TV. The food was excellent lunch, dinner and breakfast - all freshly cooked.
