To be part of Laycock was special, short walk to the Abbey in the morning. The old world charm must be tricky to maintain but it’s done so well. Comfy bed. Fabulous breakfast.

What a lovely place! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The people and the service are amazing, 10+ out of 10. Not only did they help get our luggage up the stairs, they found umbrellas for us to use on our outings and were there at every turn for anything we might need. The bar staff are super friendly and the cook was amazing. Breakfast is the best I've had, and there were several menu items to choose from. We stayed in the small apartment and really enjoyed having a separate area to watch TV and relax. All in all, we loved our stay here. We would like to return again some day and spend more time with these wonderful people. They truly are the best! ❤️
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
Lovely old inn right in the heart of the village. There is an extensive garden at the back for drinks and meals going right down to a stream at the bottom of the garden. The rooms were very quaint and well equipped, including an espresso machine and pods. Dinner in the evening was very good. Breakfast was fine.
It was like stepping back in time. The inn dates from 1480 and retains its character. The village is wonderful and, as a heritage location , it remains as it was hundreds of years ago. It is the quintessential english village!
The pub was very cosy. The room was spacious and clean. The staff were great and there was a lot of choice for breakfast. We also had an evening meal which was lovely and we had Sunday dinner at their sister pub ‘The George’ which was great too. I would recommend staying here.
We absolutely loved our one night stay in this historic inn - a bonus was the beautiful weather and lovely garden. Lacock is a beautiful village oozing with history and as a bonus if you are a Harry Potter fan there is plenty to see as well. We had a lovely evening having drinks in the garden, accompanied by a yummy dinner. To have an opportunity to stay in a historic building such as this one, that still had exposed beams and the layout of older times was truly something special.
We enjoyed every minute of this Comfortable historic inn
