Warm room and even warmer bathroom, which was very welcome at the end of a busy day. Tea and coffee provided, with fresh milk in the fridge, which was much appreciated. Beautifully quiet rooms, despite relatively proximity to a roundabout on a busy road.

Lovely continental breakfast with plenty of choices. Every comfort you could imagine in the room, including under floor heating! Also, despite it being a busy Saturday night, we were looked after when we dropped into the restaurant with extra family for coffee before bed (thank you!)

A tricky review as we booked 2 rooms. Ours was clean and comfortable with well appointed ensuite. Hilary and James were most welcoming. We opted for dinner and breakfast at The Crown Hotel which had an excellent vibe.

What a find! From the moment we checked in to the moment we left it was truly fantastic. The gentleman on check in was friendly but not in an overly pushy way. Some hotels you're greeted with "what time do you want breakfast, do you want to book a table for dinner". There was none of this. Our room was superb and our evening meal absolutely delicious, Elsie our waitress was just delightful. You do have to wait for breakfast, which is fine as you know it's being freshly cooked.

We loved the stylish decor with some lovely features. it is pub accommodation after all and some late noise was to be expected. Luckily we found the sound of a car speeding around the roundabout at 1am quite amusing - impressive driving! We had a little problem with a bin, but it was sorted immediately. Dinner and breakfast was fabulous made with local produce.

It was a pleasant surprise, to be offered a cooked breakfast on the Friday morning as well as Saturday. I had the continental breakfast on Friday, cooked on Saturday; my wife had cooked both times. They were beautifully, elegantly presented by friendly staff. The same goes for the dinner we had on our first evening. Great food, and very comfortable, tasteful surroundings in both dining area and our room. No ordinary pub, this!
