I especially enjoy the location overlooking the High Street, within walking distance to shops, historic houses open to the public, the ancient church, etc. Large, comfortable room. Excellent breakfast.

the location was ok while some areas needs some refresh.
Welcome to our 15th Century inn where our modern twist on the traditional creates a wonderful setting to enjoy our food, sample our local ales, explore our wine list and rest a weary head.

Gorgeous location in a quiet Suffolk Village. The building was beautiful and ideally decorated. We didn't use the restaurant but the menu looked good (we were meeting friends elsewhere). Bar was well stocked and staff very helpful. We upgraded and had a beautiful and large room. Bathroom was a little less decadent than the rest of the hotel but clean enough. We used our own toiletries but good to see environmental impact was thought about. TV was odd and difficult to use - usual channels didn't seem available and if we tried Netflix or any of the other apps, none of them worked, so we turned it off and just had music playing on our phones. Comfy bed, and tea/coffee available, so all good. We loved it.
*worth mentioning that had we paid full price I would have felt it a little expensive, but I had a Booking.com credit and so actually it felt like a bargain.
The Crown Hotel is a family-run historicinn and restaurant, built in 1610. It retains many interesting features, such as Tudor cellars and exposed internal beams.

The room was fantastic! Really big with a comfortable bed and although the bathroom could have been cleaner, the facilities were great, especially the shower.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
Staff were excellent and very friendly
Dinner in the restaurant was excellent
It was not noisy!
The bed was comfortable and the bed linen clean and crisp.
A fantastic, really quirky, very old (14th century) inn full of character and a great atmosphere. The staff were jolly, friendly and helpful. The food was very good. I plan to go for a return visit soon.
From arriving to when we left the staff were cordial, helpful and attentive.
The previous occupants of our room had removed the toilet seat, but the staff soon had it fixed. First-class service. Dinner was excellent and the service was good. We only had one night as it was halfway to our next stopover, had we had time we'd have stopped a couple more nights.
We had dinner here the first night it was good pub grub, great pub very busy and as with all hospitality venues they need more staff. however the staff worked so hard and cheerful with it.
