Location is totally unique, you will only find local farmers and local people. It's culturally intact- very English. Everyone we met were very friendly and welcoming. Ideal for a complete get away from everyone, walking is amazing if you want it. Winter is very cold up there, though beautiful.

Great location for dark sky searchers, many choices for EV charging within a 1-2 minute walk. The hotel’s restaurant was excellent! The room was well appointed and very cozy. We hope to visit again!

This was exactly the experience I wanted to have, lodging in a pub in the UK. The place is well-kept and a good value for the money, with comfortable, clean, warm, safe rooms. The pub was friendly and good value, and the town is cute and quiet.

From the moment we arrived til we left it was all great. Friendly staff who went out of their way to make sure were had everything we needed and were happy. Gorgeous decor, fantastic comfy and massive bed. Lush food in the bar and breakfast room. Easy parking, beautiful area....we WILL be returning.

We loved seeing the framed pictures tell the story about how the community brought this place (back) to life. The room was very comfy, the breakfast was delicious and we loved the location. The location is perfect for stargazing - if you're lucky enough to get clear skies, unlike us - because it's on the corner of a road that just goes on and on through fields. Walk away a bit from the road and the houses and it's perfect for stargazing.

First, the bed and pillows were maybe the softest, most comfortable I've ever experienced. Really. Next, the staff was amazing: friendly, congenial, informative, caring and responsive. Also, the bathroom and shower were first rate... best of our trip. The shower water always came out hot and strong! Also, the place was so very, very quiet. Lastly, the food served at the downstairs restaurant was really, truly good. We were so impressed with the Sauteed Mushrooms in Garlic Sauce on Chibatta... and the Sticky Toffee Pudding.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
Almost everything about our visit was great. We got a lovely welcome and everyone at the Inn was friendly, helpful and efficient. The food was top quality pub grub, accompanied by excellent drinks (local beer, and really nice wine) all at extremely good prices. A great cooked breakfast in the morning too. Our budget room made the best use of its space, with a nice shower, and very clean bedding. . So, absolutely no complaints about the service, location, cleanliness, ambience and food & drink - all were top notch.
Everyone was very friendly, it was my first time travelling alone to Kielder and the staff at the Holly Bush Inn made me feel very welcome and I had everything I needed.
Food was great too.
Kielder lakeside was a short drive away, and there were some lovely local walks too. Highly recommend
Breakfast and dinner on the whole was quite good. Staff were polite and helpful. Linen in the room was laundered to a good standard. Lovely open fire in the bar.
The room was very cosy and comfy. The Inn is in a nice and quite village.
I had to leave early and they provided a good tray breakfast the night before.
The friendliness of staff and their welcome, the log fire blazing, the ambience and historic nature of the building, the very comfortable mattress and pillows, the excellent food for dinner and breakfast, the quaintness of the bedroom and en suite.
Also all our local interest questions answered.
The location was perfect for Keilder.
The welcome was warm and friendly and we were made to feel welcome from the first minute.
Dinner and breakfast were both outstanding.
