we had dinner on both evenings from a very broad menu, including vegetarian options. Beautiful stove set in the corner in this atmospheric old world furnished pub. We got Lucky on the second night because there was a pub quiz which we participated in and had great fun. Really made, a difference to our stay, engaging with the proprietors and with local people.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Location was good in the town centre, in the old town. Hotel was comfortable and quiet. Helpful staff. Lovely dinner at the nearby Angel & Royal Hotel. Walking distance from the station.
Our room (202) was absolutely delightful and very comfortable. The staff were helpful, friendly and efficient and the food (dinner and breakfast) was excellent.
Lovely comfy cottage at side of the pub and overlooking the pub garden.Very peaceful and pretty area, pub busy but not noisy.Staff were very friendly and helpful .Good breakfast with lots of choice in the cottage .We had also booked evening dinner, which was very tasty and large portions .Our daughter who is vegan also had lots of choice available
We went for the murder mystery dinner. The food at dinner and breakfast was nice.
This is a big hotel so a bit impersonal but the room was large and comfortable as was the bed.
The pool complex is a great asset to the place.
