I booked the George Inn at 7pm on a Sunday evening of a BH weekend after getting rained off from my camping. The place was still busy with the Sunday lunch crowd and clearly the host couple had been flat out busy all day. Nevertheless they were both absolutely charming and quickly showed me a lovely comfortable room and got me a meal and a pint followed by some excellent home made Victoria sponge. Before long I was co-opted onto one of the pub quizz teams and had a great evening in front of the toasty open fire with my new friends. Lovely people who run a great little Inn.

The hotel was really nice, the room was fantastic and very spacious.
The staff were extremely friendly and provided a very good service
The food was excellent
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
This is a very very old building with an interior to match. Beds were comfy, shower good. Food was loveky to and good value! Those that are expecting a modern hotel need to go elsewhere, this is. An old property with an old staircase. It's full of character. If you want lifts and bland interiors go to a premier inn. The ladies at breakfast were brilliant too! Dogs are also made more than welcome! a perfect dog hotel!
Friendly host
Excellent choice for breakfast.
Facilities perfect, everything catered for.
This guest house is beyond exception and we will definitely be returning.
Definitely recommend.
Fabulous location. Close to town centre but also on the direct route to the Glastonbury Tor. Hosts, Mick & Tracey, are very kind and accommodating. Our room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Hot cooked breakfast was available in the morning along with juice, cold cereal, yogurt and fresh fruit place. Recommendations for lunch (Rainbows End) and dinner (Elaichi Tandoori Restaurant) were excellent. Would highly recommend Belle Vue when you’re staying in Glastonbury.
Everything!! The Inn and our room were excellent!! But the staff went above and beyond our expectations!! We have to give a special mention about Karen because we have never received such special treatment as she gave us anywhere we've stayed! We will definitely be back!!
Its character, history and vibe. Amazing building. Very quirky. Uneven floors, creaky , a bit spooky, like being in a time warp, absolutely as you’d expect for an Inn over 600 years old steeped in history . I love it and been many times.
