The cottage was well equipped for a family break, allowing us to prepare meals easily and wash muddy toddler clothes! It was comfy and cosy. There was a beautiful beach near by (Rigg Batmy) which kept the little one entertained and lots to do within a short driving distance. Including the Galloway dark sky park, deer range and st ninian’s cave. Garlieston is walkable or a super short drive and the hive cafe was excellent, including amazing cakes and toys and books to entertain our little one. The Harbour inn was also great.

The location and view were just brilliant, I travelled with my dog who was wholly welcome in all areas of the hotel and the staff accommodated me by dinner in my room as I preferred not to have the dog in the dining area due to him struggling in busy places. The room was completely quiet, bed comfortable and facilities great. Everything was immaculate.

A warm welcome by friendly staff at the Harbour Inn. The apartment is clean, warm and a few steps from the Inn where the food is fabulous. Highly recommend the breakfast!
