The Balerno Inn, hotel in Edinburgh

Situated in Edinburgh and with Murrayfield Stadium reachable within 13 km, The Balerno Inn features a garden, allergy-free rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar.

We stayed at the Inn over New Years which meant it was a little more expensive than normal but such a lovely place to stay. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. We were celebrating a birthday and, on request, they put a card, balloons and wine (paid for) in the room ahead of us arriving. The room was comfy and clean, the shower was lovely, warm and big. There was the option to have a continental style breakfast each morning and fresh coffee from the bar. The food was the best pie we had all week and the bus stop into Edinburgh was barely a 30 second walk away.

A really wonderful visit. Lovely and friendly staff (Thomas and Molly) compensated for our cancelled trip to Europe with great care and attention. A real credit to themselves and the Bridge Inn. Thank-you. We will be back again soon, probably before the next hurricane.

The staff was amazing from beginning to end! They were very friendly and helpful. The location is great—a nice walk from my historical centre and with several restaurants in the neighborhood. I plan to go back to Edinburgh and would certainly stay at the New Town Guest House again.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The host (Abe) was incredibly kind and accommodating, ensuring that our needs were met throughout our visit. The breakfast provided was really nice, and the overall stay was pleasant and comfortable. Additionally, Abe graciously allowed us to order takeout for lunch or dinner, which we enjoyed in our room while being mindful to keep the area clean and dispose of our trash properly. Everything was great, and I highly recommend this guest house for its hospitality and excellent service.

The guest house was quite cozy and well-kept. It is in a fantastic location and close to the main attractions. Aliya (the host) was highly receptive to my text messages from the beginning of our 3-night stay. She always ensured that we were as comfortable as possible during our stay. Additionally, we tried to make sure not to damage the property and leave it as it was. Overall, it made our trip to Edinburgh memorable and was a really excellent stay. Thank you, Aliya! God bless you💕

Great accommodation in Edinburgh, just outside the crowded inner city. Though conveniently located and just a 10 minute walk from the tram station and a bus stop almost right in front. The owners Danny and Jasmin take very good care of their guest house, but also of their guests. We could even store our rental bikes indoors, just for safe keeping. For us the guest house was a safe and quiet getaway, and should we revisit Edinburgh we would definitely stay with them again.

Ali and his wife made us very welcome. They were most pleasant and helpful. The guest house is conveniently located near to the inner city, and there are 2 pubs and a restaurant only minutes away. It is an older building and has steep stairs. The price is very reasonable.
