Beautifully decorated rooms, very warm and cozy, very helpful staff.
The building itself is full of history, stone-made inn with beautiful spaces for breakfast and dinner.
The breakfast was impressive, several options to choose from, very picturesque dining areas and also includes cooked food to order.
Very nice location within driving distance of most of the beautiful trails. Will definitely visit again soon!

The room itself was clean and had everything we needed. Tea and coffee making facilities, TV, toiletries provided too. The beds were really comfortable and our view outside towards the hills was beautiful.
We had our evening meal there which was lovely - a basic menu but perfect pub food, no complaints at all. Breakfast was excellent too; we all had a full English with extras and drinks. The staff were friendly and helpful, and it’s clear that they work hard to make sure everyone enjoys their stay. We’ll hopefully return!

we stayed in room 4, it was spacious, clean and comfy, we had an evening meal there which was very good and the breakfast choice was even better.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Firstly, the location is unbeatable! Easy access to both Mam Tor and Kinder Scout. The staff are fantastic and really couldn’t do enough to look after us. We enjoyed a home cooked meal in the evening and had breakfast included…both were great. This is a lovely rustic, super friendly place which, with its location, is obviously very popular with hikers and walkers.
Fantastic location in heart of the village and near the railway station. Warm and friendly staff. Decent breakfast. Comfortable room, and pleasant Victorian Inn with character. We shall return.
